Don is an associate attorney at Skaja, Daniels & Luu with a diverse legal background and extensive experience in civil litigation, workers' compensation defense, and creditors' rights. Early in his career, he represented plaintiffs in defamation, contract disputes, and medical malpractice cases before transitioning to creditors' rights litigation, where he worked with financial institutions such as JP Morgan Chase, Bank of America, and Citibank. Later, as in-house counsel for Liberty Mutual, Don handled workers' compensation defense, further broadening his expertise. This varied legal experience enables Don to provide tailored and insightful legal solutions to his clients. At Skaja, Daniels & Luu, he primarily focuses on immigration law and estate planning, offering practical, client-centered guidance.
Don earned his B.A. in Political Science from UCLA and his J.D. from Trinity Law School. During law school, he expanded his understanding of global legal issues by studying international human rights in Strasbourg, France. He also gained hands-on legal experience as a judicial extern for the Honorable Judge David A. Hoffer in the Orange County Superior Court and as a law clerk with the Orange County District Attorney’s Office. Admitted to the California State Bar in 2016, Don combines his legal expertise with his passion for helping clients achieve their goals. Outside the office, Don enjoys spending time with his partner, Haley, and their beloved Shiba Inu, Atrie. He finds joy in rock climbing, traveling, and discovering new culinary adventures.
